Dock Supervisor (2009)

Supervised operations ensuring efficient and claim free movement of freight from terminal to terminal. Responsibilities included supervising loading and unloading of freight, supplying proper documentation and procedure control for the handling of hazardous materials. Responsible for weight inspection reports and tracing 15-20 at risk shipments on a nightly basis. Supervise 6 to 8 dock workers.

Freight Operations Supervisor (2007-2008)

Supervised operations ensuring efficient and claim free movement of freight from terminal to terminal.  Responsibilities included supervising loading and unloading of freight, supplying proper documentation and procedure control for the handling of hazardous materials.  In addition I assisted in shift planning and routing of freight on a nightly basis.  Supervised 10 to 15 drivers.

Operations Manager (2007)

Provided customer service by conducting inside sales and rentals by phone and walk-in customers.  Scheduled delivery and pickup of scaffolding, completed transfer of material in and out of branch as needed.  Managed in excess of two million dollars of inventory.  Supervised yard workers and drivers, managed a fleet of six company trucks.

  • Developed spreadsheets to track vehicle usage by drivers for accountability.

  • Made changes in freight logistics resulting in approximately $1,500 savings per month

Customer Service Representative, Hydraulics, (2005-2007)

Received and entered sales orders from customers and tracked factory confirmation of delivery. Supplied pricing and availability information to customers.
